Jon Duschinsky, author of Philanthropy in a Flat World, will explore the future of philanthropy with a special focus on funding models for research and education. This interactive presentation will give you the opportunity to delve into some of the profound shifts happening both in the way people give and in the way organizations mobilize resources around the world.
 
When: Thursday, March 18, 2010, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: IDRC, W. David Hopper Room, 150 Kent Street, 8th floor, Ottawa, ON
 
Jon Duschinsky is Director of bethechange, an international consultancy with presence in Europe and North America, offering training and strategic development to NGOs, universities, schools, cultural organizations and research centers around the world. Clients include the Stephen Lewis Foundation, Cancer Research UK, International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, among others.
 
Duschinsky is a professional speaker at over 20 annual high-profile international events and faculty at universities in Europe and the US. He was founding member of the fundraising group Cascaid in the UK, before moving to France and becoming an established non-profit developer there. He has been a board member of the European Fundraising Association and both the Chair and Director of the French Institute of Fundraising.
 
The lecture is free but seating is limited, so please register.
